The Bow Brickhill Community Hall project was built in 2021 in the UK. It is a timber frame offsite manufactured building. The hall replaces the old Church Hall built in 1898. There was a big team (Companies mentioned below) working on the project and after its completion was shortlisted for International Offsite Construction Award in the UK. Liskandas is proud to be a member of an amazing team that made it all happen.

ASTRA were absolutely delighted to be short-listed for a prestigious construction award ‘The International Offsite Project of the Year’.
The finalists included a team who prefabricated a chilled water rooftop solution for a huge Republic of Ireland data center, a UK and Irish team who designed and constructed the longest pre-stressed concrete bridge beam in the world, a prestigious student accommodation complex in Stockholm which managed to become the tallest modular building in Scandinavia and a Spanish 75 bathroom pod project which delivered a complete sanitary, equipment, pipework and lighting solution to a logistics center in Mercia Spain. Just to be on this prestigious shortlist of five was a huge achievement for Bow Brickhill. Our new Community Hall was easily the smallest building, smallest budget, and smallest team out of more than 200 applicants but managed to punch above its weight in terms of quality, value, and performance.
Chair of ASTRA Community Projects and project manager Alan Preen, Directors of Liskandas (Lithuanian specialist timber frame manufacturer), Frank Morris of FJ Morris Construction Towcester and Allan Ross, Chris Selley of CMI Architects London and Milton Keynes proudly attended the Offsite Expo awards ceremony at the Coventry Building Society Stadium on Tuesday 21st September. The winner Forta Pro was the multi-million euro development in Stockholm comprising of 4 new buildings of 13 modular floors above ground and 2 below!
